Keynote Title: “Women, Health, and Social Justice: A Life Course Perspective”
Dr. Amy Towfighi is a professor and associate chair of neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She is also the founding director of the Southern California Healthcare Delivery Science Center and leads the Healthcare Delivery Science core at the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
Towfighi’s research focuses on inequities in stroke care and outcomes, with extensive publications on sex, race/ethnic, and socioeconomic inequities in stroke. She has led several studies of team-based interventions to improve vascular risk factor control after stroke in historically marginalized populations.
