With soaring food costs and diet-related chronic disease rates, there is an urgent need to advance nutrition research and promote food innovations at local and global levels. Panelists will discuss emergent and ongoing nutrition research studies, partnerships, and activities to advance nutrition equity in the 21st century, with a particular focus on regional efforts in Orange County.  

The panel will be moderated by Director and Founding Dean of Public Health, Dean Bernadette M. Boden-Albala. This event will feature a panel with researchers, practitioners, and community partners with expertise in nutrition research and practice to improve dietary behavior, enhance food environments, and reduce health disparities.
