Biography

Developmental neuroscientist and neurobiology expert Kristina Uban, PhD is an assistant professor at the UCI Program in Public Health in the Department of Health, Society and Behavior. She also leads the university’s Developing Brain Lab, serves as a fellow at the UCI Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, and as a researcher at the UCI Institute for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience.

Research Interests

Her research background covers a wide range of topics in neuroscience and brain health, from neuroendocrine function to cognitive/mental health outcomes among diverse populations. She is well-versed in different types of research involving neuroimaging and salivary biosciences to non-invasively examine brain-hormone relationships among all age groups.

Education

She holds a doctorate in behavioral neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and previously served as a post-doctoral researcher at Childen’s Hospital Los Angeles.
