Biography
Epidemiologist, statistician, and chronic disease expert Luohua Jiang, MD, PhD is an associate professor at the UCI Program in Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics whose research focuses on chronic disease prevention and treatment, namely for diabetes, in socially vulnerable communities.
Current Projects/Studies
Her latest work focuses on translating evidence-based diabetes prevention and management interventions into large-scale public health practice among Native American and minority populations. Jiang also provides statistical leadership and consulting to multiple federally-funded studies focusing on reducing health disparities.
Jiang holds a doctorate in biostatistics from UCLA and a medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center.
