This Department focuses on quantitative, data-driven research and its faculty, who have expertise in epidemiologic design and methods, biostatistics, and bioinformatics, use rigorous methods to collect, analyze, and interpret health-related data in human populations. Epidemiologists study the frequency, distribution, and determinants of disease in human populations and use this information to develop disease prevention strategies and improve population health.
