  • Entry Level Writing, American History, and American Institutions requirements met upon admission.
  • Minors may require nine courses with only 8 units of overlap between 8 units of overlap between major and minor.
  • Summer Session is highly recommended if you anticipate wanting to complete a minor.
  • Public Health Statistics requirement through semester units may be completed with one Math 2A/5A and one Statistics equivalent.
  • All majore requirements must be taken for a letter grade.

Minimum Progress Criteria

Students who repeat more than eight units of major core coursework to meet minimum grade prerequisites are subject to dis qualification from Public Health Policy: Public Health, or Statistics 

Prior to the fall quarter of the second year, students must complete the following courses:

Prior to the fall quarter of the third year, students must complete the following courses: 

PUBHLTH 1 and 2  

PUBHLTH 7A (or STAT 7) 

At least one course from: PUBHLTH 30, 60, 80, 90 

Prior to the fall quarter of the fourth year, students must complete the following courses: 

PUBHLTH 1 and 2  

PUBHLTH 7A (or STAT 7) and 7B 

At least two courses from: PUBHLTH 30, 60, 80, 90 

At least two courses from: PUBHLTH 101, 122, 144, 170, 139/159*

*PUBHLTH 139/159 is only part of the 2023-2024 Catalogue and prior
