I am a board-certified Family Medicine physician preparing for board certification in Lifestyle Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Occupational Medicine. My interests include Medical Surveillance and Total Worker Health, with a particular focus on workplace mental health. I am passionate about Clinical Occupational Medicine and aspire to serve as an Independent Medical Examiner (QME), Medical Review Officer, and contribute to Utilization Review. At the heart of my work is a commitment to making a meaningful difference in workplace wellness and creating healthier, safer environments where employees can thrive. I look forward to exploring opportunities in industry, public health, and academic research.
I’m a Navy veteran and board-certified pathologist with 20+ years of experience in a variety of clinical, administrative, and research focused roles and settings. I’m interested in the roles of risk management and process improvement in maintaining employee health and wellness. I enjoy crossword puzzles, photography, and exploring new restaurants.
I am a board-certified internist with prior clinical experience, currently completing residency training in occupational medicine. My interests include Total Worker Health®, risk management, and environmental exposures across various industries. I am also passionate about medical education and mentorship, as well as the socioeconomics of healthcare and health literacy. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring California, and traveling.
Born in Greater NYC, I am Sikh American. I speak Punjabi, Hindi, English, some Urdu, Spanish and Korean. I completed a BA in Biochemistry at Miami University’s Honors program, an MS in Medical Physiology at Case Western University and earned my MD at Avalon University School of Medicine. I led a covid research team at Larkin Hospital resulting in an FDA approved clinical trial and have 20 publications. My interests include academic and corporate medicine leadership, integrative wellness with ayurveda, and environmental entrepreneurship with venture capital to scale solutions to the effects of climate change and pollutants on human health.
I received my MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University, and I consider New York to be my home. After finishing medical school, I spent almost a decade in the Army practicing as a primary care physician. My experience of taking care of injured service members has led me to pursue further training in the area of Occupational Medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling internationally and hanging out with my family.
