Health Policy & Management

Experts in health policy and management use a broad set of leadership and analytical skills to understand the impact of health policies on public health, as well as the economic, social, and behavioral determinants of health. Interdisciplinary in nature, the field focuses on examining the structure and financing of health systems and services to inform equitable public policy at the local, state, national, and global levels.

Lipton analyzes state health policy and its impact on access especially among immigrant communities. Current research on healthcare reform focuses on Medicaid, dental and vision care and dual eligibility.
