Strong leadership is important because it inspires, motivates, and sets an example for people to accomplish positive changes in the world. In the past two years, the community and public health practitioners have tackled some of the greatest public health challenges of our lifetimes. UCI Program in Public Health director and founding dean, Bernadette Boden-Albala, MPH, DrPH, was recently recognized for her steadfast commitment in guiding our faculty, students and staff during this tumultuous year.
The Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing Group nominated Boden-Albala for their 2022 Inspirational Women Awards; and she ended up being named a top four finalist for Non-Profit Executive of the Year during that awards process. Proceeding this honor, she was also chosen as one of Orange County Business Journal’s 2022 Top 500 Influential People.
Both awards are a reflection of the strong leadership Dean Boden-Albala has provided to the Program in Public Health and to the community we live, play and work in. Please join us in congratulating our Director and Founding Dean of UCI Public Health for her well deserved nominations!
