Dr. Wayne Chang Receives Award for Service in Medical Education from the UCI Office of Graduate Medical Education

Congratulations to Dr. Wayne Chang, a clinical professor of occupational and environmental medicine, for receiving the Award for Service in Medical Education from the UCI Office of Graduate Medical Education. It’s an even greater honor as he was nominated by his colleagues, including residents, fellows, faculty, and staff who chose him for his dedication and service this past academic year (2020-2021).

Specifically, Dr. Chang was recognized for his role as the Director of the Occupational Health Clinic at the UC Irvine Medical Center during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his direction, the Clinic was instrumental in COVID-19 testing and evaluation, quarantine and travel recommendations, and COVID-19 vaccinations. Dr. Chang has been the Medical Director of this clinic since 2013. He has a joint appointment at the UCI Program in Public Health, specifically its’ Department of Environmental and Occupational Health as well as the UCI Center for Occupational Health. His other appointment is with UC Irvine School of Medicine’s Department of Medicine.
