Lifetime Achievement Award
Dr. Dana Mukamel
Please join UCI Public Health in congratulating Dr. Dana Mukamel who has received the “Life-time Achievement” Award from the Aging and Public Health Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA). The award was announced at the 2015 APHA conference in Chicago.
Dr. Mukamel is an exceptionally gifted researcher who has taught required undergraduate Health Policy courses since the extremely popular undergraduate degree in Public Health was introduced. She was trained in health economics, and was the first to develop risk-adjusted outcome measures for nursing homes. She currently works on a project to use mHealth and information technologies to develop innovative decision aids. Dana represents the Program in Public Health on the CTSE committee of the UC Irvine Institute for Clinical and Translational Science.
