Speaker Biography - Jerome Galea, Ph.D.

Jerome Galea, Ph.D. Project Director Partners in Health PERU
Jerome Galea, MSW, PhD, is a Project Director for Boston-based Partners In Health. He works on a variety of health projects in Peru and South Africa, with an emphasis on TB transmission. His expertise centers on the entire research lifecycle, from concept development to project implementation and information dissemination and policy recommendation, and his breadth of experience includes involvement in clinical trials (both behavioral and biomedical) as a research interviewer, recruiter, retention specialist, data collection engineer, protocol specialist, study coordinator and project director. He has worked on numerous multi-site/international projects including phase I, II and III vaccine trials. He provides key study design, analytical assistance, logistical coordination and management of regulatory processes for several ongoing and new research protocols. Jerome is fluent in English and Spanish.
